casual biographical sketch
Lisa Bullard is an author, freelance editor, and writing teacher. Her picture books are humorous, colorful, and warm-hearted—a lot like Lisa herself. Having taught with a “Writers and Artists in the Schools” program for many years, she has developed an understanding of what makes writing fun for even the youngest kids. The resulting book is You Can Write a Story! which primary grade teachers have welcomed with a hearty “thank you, Lisa!” Lisa enjoys writing informational books as well, especially when they are challenging to research. A long-time resident of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Lisa currently teaches writing at The Loft Literary Center.

Lisa teaches writing to children and adults through venues such as the Loft Literary Center. She also works with other writers as a marketing consultant, drawing on her background in the publishing industry.
